About Michelle

I am a follower of Christ, wife, momma, daughter, friend, teacher, and craft/diy-addict.  My husband Herb and I have been married for ten years.  We have a pretty awesome love story!

In 2010, I made the switch from being an elementary music teacher to a stay at home mom.  It was the most bittersweet, but best, decision I ever made.

My Hope Fulfilled started as an adoption blog in July 2009.  We had begun the process of domestic infant adoption using Bethany Christian Services.  I created the blog to keep my family and friends informed of the process, and really, to keep from answering the same questions over and over again.  Back then, the blog was called "Our Adoption Adventure."
You can read a synopsis of our adoption adventure here.

By the time our adoption of precious Levi was finalized, I was addicted to blogging, but realized I couldn't keep writing just about adoption.  And thus, My Hope Fulfilled was birthed.

The title comes from Proverbs 13:12: Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.

That was one of my favorite verses during the adoption process, and now I am so happy to look back on many areas of my life and see where those hopes were fulfilled - God is good!     So, join me as I continue to blog through the journey of a (very) open adoption, motherhood, wifedom, and a serious need to craft.
